Castle of Sax

It's been quite a long time since I posted a castle shot...

Here you have an emblematic castle in the Valley of the Vinalopó river in Alicante. It's considered one of the finest rocky castles in Spain. Islamic origin, of course, although rebuilt in 14 and 15th. C.

El cielo muy bien pero le encuentro una pega: la luz no era muy buena y parece un poco plana...claro esta que el tiempo no se elige.

Y está claro que ese día me falló mi contacto con el weatherman...

Superb skyscape for this motif, the sweeping clouds fit well to the castle`s hill. Well composed, great detail, no nitpicks from me.

Not just an exciting sky ... I really love how the rock blends into the castel. I also like the walls along the road (?) leading up to the castle from the left. Wonderful, Alberto! Make sure to continue giving us castle shots!!! Warm regards!

I find the light not very good, and the composition not extraordinary, with too much sky above the hill and castle. You often let a large space for sky in your photos, and generally it works very well, but here the sky is not so interesting than in numerous of your other photos. Dont' you think it will work better if you crop out a third on the right and at least the half of the sky above the castle ?

I am not "exhalted" by this shot; as the other folk said, light is flat and I don't like very much the magenta toning of the sky. Alberto, be careful because is clearly visible the edge between sky and earth left by the mask used in photoshop for working the clouds.

De acuerdo con Antonio, aunque no me desagrada el contraste entre el cielo y tierra.

Bien por la silueta sobre el fondo, pero me gustaria ver el castillo mas cerca, lo que supondria otra foto.

I think this representation is magnificent. I ike the colors and the composition. As you indicated one cannot make deals with the weatherman, the results, to me are excellent.

 

 

Alberto, con esta estaremos casi todos un poco punyeteros, pero es verdad que la encuentro un poco plana y la mascara del cielo ha dejado su huella en la linea del horizonte. Ya en cuestion mas personal y por tanto discutible, la vista del pueblo esta en un punto intermedio que no me convence, o falta pueblo o sobra que este (quiza lo primero). ?Que opinas de esto?

Y reconozco que la mascara del cielo se nota. Respecto al pueblo la elección era sencilla: O metía la autopista o no la metía. Opté por esta alternativa...
