Smoothed out the background a wee bit - that was it.

Fantastic detail, nice moody light, and I like how you have composed this with some space to the right to lead the viewers eye, Cheers, Mauro.

Texture, composition, color and... expression! I'm usually not comfortable rating nature pics - not sure I have an eye for them. But this one - a complete knocker as far as I'm concerned - well, this one didn't give me the impression I was looking at a nature pic... And led me straight to your outstanding portfolio. You are quite talented - and certainly very patient ;-)! Congrats!

Wonderful! The expression in the eye and the posture of the head are just great. This combined with the lighting that leaves part of the lizzard in the darkness reflects the shy and cautious nature of these animals. Just wonderful!

The angle of view and the control of the background remove any hint of scale, so you can look at this as as either a smallish reptile or a huge dinosaur. Well done.

This is a great portrait of this colourful fellow/gal, as mentioned above, looking a lot like a dinosaur. I love the colour and the gleem in his/her eye:-)

Hi kim, this is just a fine shot, excellent colors and details. where did u find this guy anyhow? and how big is it? great job really, however, IMHO i feel sharpness on its right shoulder is better than that on its face. but great job anyhow i know how hard it is to get moving objects like that in focus, i shoot birds a lot and i am very pleased to get it in focus. BRAVO kim and best regards, RK!

This fellow was in the zoo and shot behind glass. I focused on his eye and believe it is sharper in this shot than the other one. His head was forward, probably even with his right leg, so would be on the same plane. He was probably about 10" long, so was bigger than lizards I usually photograph.

I keep coming back to this photo. It maybe my favorite of all your shots. He reminds me of the Geico Gecko's badass uncle.
