kslonaker 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted a closer shot earlier; this one is a bit darker and sharper, I thought. Comments? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 23, 2006 Fantastic detail, nice moody light, and I like how you have composed this with some space to the right to lead the viewers eye, Cheers, Mauro. Link to comment
cjrupp 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Kim, a beautiful study of light and contrast. Great composition. Very nice. Link to comment
paulduss 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Texture, composition, color and... expression! I'm usually not comfortable rating nature pics - not sure I have an eye for them. But this one - a complete knocker as far as I'm concerned - well, this one didn't give me the impression I was looking at a nature pic... And led me straight to your outstanding portfolio. You are quite talented - and certainly very patient ;-)! Congrats! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Thanks, guys. Paul, I kind of fell into nature photography. It does take patience, but the rewards are great. Link to comment
kleintje 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Wonderful! The expression in the eye and the posture of the head are just great. This combined with the lighting that leaves part of the lizzard in the darkness reflects the shy and cautious nature of these animals. Just wonderful! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 23, 2006 That works! Green is stronger. Another great shot. Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted February 23, 2006 Superb shot, Kim. Reminds me of the movie Jurassic Park. A mini-raptor ;)Best regards from Kenya,Mark Anthony Kathurima Link to comment
root 0 Posted February 23, 2006 The angle of view and the control of the background remove any hint of scale, so you can look at this as as either a smallish reptile or a huge dinosaur. Well done. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Another very dignified view of this guy. Kim - you have a wonderful way of making such things as lizards very regal. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 24, 2006 Very sharp .Green color and details are well accentuated on the black bg. well done Kim. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted February 24, 2006 This is a great portrait of this colourful fellow/gal, as mentioned above, looking a lot like a dinosaur. I love the colour and the gleem in his/her eye:-) Link to comment

rafikrkamel 1 Posted February 24, 2006 Hi kim, this is just a fine shot, excellent colors and details. where did u find this guy anyhow? and how big is it? great job really, however, IMHO i feel sharpness on its right shoulder is better than that on its face. but great job anyhow i know how hard it is to get moving objects like that in focus, i shoot birds a lot and i am very pleased to get it in focus. BRAVO kim and best regards, RK! Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted February 24, 2006 Great lighting on this shot of your neighbor, Kim. Composition is great as always. Best Regards. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 25, 2006 This fellow was in the zoo and shot behind glass. I focused on his eye and believe it is sharper in this shot than the other one. His head was forward, probably even with his right leg, so would be on the same plane. He was probably about 10" long, so was bigger than lizards I usually photograph. Link to comment

flyfisher159 0 Posted February 25, 2006 I keep coming back to this photo. It maybe my favorite of all your shots. He reminds me of the Geico Gecko's badass uncle. Stephen Link to comment
