Is this Omar with Sharif? A reunion portrait maybe. Nice light,gives off right amount of details.

Hi Pnina, really glad you like the bg. I choose my cats to blend in with the surroundings, just kidding ;-) She used to sit there once in a while (but doesn't anymore) and stayed just long enough for me to get a few shots. This is the only one that turned out in focus. It always pays to take more that one photo if one can.

 

Leanne, no Omar isn't in the picture. You bad... About the lighting it's mostly PS that made the bg disapear. I made sure to get it all out after getting a bit of advice from you way back when on another shot, Tulips I believe. Thanks for that, eh!

Hey Kim! I always loved the colouring of this bread of cat and was offered the pic of the litter 13 years ago. It changed my life forever as I came home with 2 kittens!

Very nice placed together.or the cat placed himself.cosy looking,maybe he feels close to the urn.The dark background,brings it out good and sharp.

Believe me, you can't "place" this cat anywhere. She has got a mind of her own and is also a jumper and hardly ever sits on the floor. She loves to perch and observe. I'm happy the background works for you as well. Sharif and I are so glad you visited today!

Ghiga, I don't think she hated it there at all. I just caught her while she was blinking. It does look like she is thinking," Oh, just take the picture quick and get it over with!"

Cute shot and I like the darkness of it. The cat does match nicely with the urn - a plus!

Love the composition and lighting in your photo. Really nice job!

A great combination here and well positioned. As I look at it more, I begin to attribute personality to the urn, maybe even an android, which contrasts in feeling to the cat, who is but mildly interested in being photographed.

So this is not just a cat picture, the cat and urn take equal billing.
