First of all, IMO this is a very nice portrait. The light is beautifully balanced and the darkness proportion is subtle.

Second of all, the framing is interesting and perhaps a bit unusual, but it works nicely here.

Third of all, and this is a purely subjective opinion, I don't like the white fingernails... they're seemingly highlighted in the entire image due to the contrast they offer against the dark background.

Finally, a somewhat more space on the right, and a little tighter cropping on the left also works for me.
