Karl Schuler 48 Posted February 20, 2006 The slow opening process of this photo is a journey from the volatile foliage to the firm stand on the ground. I hope you enjoy it. Karl Link to comment
tony_hayes1 0 Posted February 21, 2006 Hi Karl. A nice textural shot in the upper portion and I really like the way the trees and the distant buildings come together at the base. Could be a jigsaw picture, but that's not to denigrate it. Well done. Regards Tony Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted February 21, 2006 Great vertical pano. Looks as if your vision is already panoramic ;-) Well balanced, perfectly exposed shot. Wonderful details to enjoy (I dont know if I like the house) Link to comment
Karl Schuler 48 Posted February 22, 2006 Hi Carsten, in fact I am convinced that our view is rather a panoramic view and that Hasselblad with the XPan has discovered exactly the right format to depict the view of our eyes. Und the vertical panorama we see when we lay down into the hay ;-) Karl Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Hm, interesting point. I am convinced that we see ultrawide, nearly square format. Our eyes` focal length is equivalent to the "normal" lens, but what we perceive in nature is wider than normal. I am a bit biased to the sky, and on days with great cloudscape I feel really immersed in the scenery, seeing 100degree vertically and horizontally, so I like to shoot superwide landscapes and stitch them vertically for a square aspect ratio and WIDE FOV in both directions. AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted August 10, 2006 The format really makes them streach and tower! Almost sublime. I bet it looks fantastic as large as it can be made. Link to comment
