REGAL SEAGULL

Wonderful shot Linda - with a great depth of field like it a lot - to bad the light wasn't a little more on the face and beak rather than the neck. Do these birds squack backwards as being from the down-under?

Hi! (I guess that's a good a comment as any!! :-D) Anyway - is this the same bird as in Roger's folder? I'm looking at both of your Oz folders at the same time ... and rather jealous, I must add! Wonderful profile. Makes him look like a grand and exquisite creature!

The sky makes the shot. I have so many gull shots with a bland sky and they just aren't the same.

Kim...I agree it is the sky and lighting. Roger and I laugh at how many pictures of seagulls we have. I think it is the digital's influence.

Beautiful light on the gull's neck feathers - tha angle helps the detail and the light and shadow define the 3-d form.

G'day mate. Great light, but couldn't help to think that a bit of fill flash would give it a nice catch light in the eye. If a seagull can be called regal, this would be it! ^_^
