I took this photo this morning after a snow. I was afraid the

cardinal would mess up my shot, but it turned out she was positioned

about as well as I could have hoped. I did clone out a few sunflower

seeds that were on the ground.

This is marvelous and I'm so jealous as I was just trying to shoot these same breeds of birds out my dirty window with them too far away! I love it!

Scott, you've done well at trying to combine the two...I've tried to do this and have come up short. I really think, though, the blue jay alone would be a spectacular shot! Well done.

Thanks Jeanne. This was taken out of my window too, but it has been wide open since 8:00 this morning. Being 15-20 degrees Fahrenheit all day long, today was the first day that I can remember that I needed to wear gloves indoors.

Thanks Keith. I was wondering if people might think the blue jay alone would be better. I swear this isn't a composite and it would be a fairly easy job to clone out the cardinal, but I think I prefer it being in the shot.

Here's a shot taken a couple of seconds earlier with a sparrow in flight and less than 5 minutes invested in post processing...nothing added or removed.
