Thank you Rasmus for your nice words and spontanious comment about the flat low lands/ Holland. On the dike we can 'see' Sweden. ;)

Prima foto Emily. In tegenstelling tot de gulden snede (1/3en2/3) heb jij de horizon precies in het midden geplaatst. Ik denk dat dat hier goed kan.

Het groen met blauw doet het erg evenwichtig samen.

Persoonlijk zou ik er een figuur in geplaats hebben, dit versterkt de dieptewerking en zorgt voor een "rustpunt" voor het oog.

Veel dank voor je uitleg met betrekking tot de ge-eikte verhouding 1/3 luchtpartij en 2/3 landschap.Ooit werd ik op de rule of third gewezen. Nu begrijp ik deze regel. Een object voor geplaatst zal zeker diepte geven maar ontbrak daar eenvoudig. Ik was al blij met de meer strakke lijn van de dijk en het kleine hekje rechts in beeld.. Disagree with the need to add an extra figure just to get the rule of 3rds. Your photos is just that - your photo. In Holland the rule of 3rds should be broken to really give that feel of nothingness - empty space. Its the whole point of the photo. You could help it a bit by adding curves to points in the pictures at about the rule of 3rds but its not important. If you want to give some debt try a simple white border with a tiny black line between the border and the picture. An example of some contrast attached. Groet from New Zealand.
