billfoster 0 Posted February 17, 2006 The Little River (that's the name of the river, not a description) at the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park after a fierce snowstorm. The picture is actually a bit deceptive as it was snowing at the time and quite stormy. We just got one little patch of blue for ten minutes or so .... Link to comment

billfoster 0 Posted February 28, 2006 Thanks Jeremy ... I love Tipton Farm also. It's been photographed by everybody, but it's still one of my favorite buildings ever. Now, let's see some of your pictures! You wouldn't beleive what I started posting an I've learned so much here. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 16, 2007 I don't think there's any place more beautiful than the Smoky Mountains in winter time, and this photograph confirms my opinion. Even though I know there is movement in the water, this photo conveys a stillness and peacefulness to me. I hope to be up in those mountains this winter. Very well done. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Thanks for your thoughtful (as always) comments. I travel all the time so I have no idea of my schedule but if you are near the mountains in the winter, shoot me an email and I'll be happy to buy you a beer or three. It's the least I can do for all the enjoyment your photos have given me. And, of course, if you need any travel advise or help, don't hesitate to ask, although i think you know the mountains better than me! Link to comment
