This is one of those "easier said than done" photos. Everything surrounding the dog is very complex in terms of patterns and could be very distracting but even so the subject stands out and says "here I am". Kim is right, is clearly a Howard Dion (wich is a good thing by the way). Congratulations for another great shot.

This IS fun! I love the vertical lines created by the bridge. He looks more like he's waiting for his best friend than his boss. ;-) Good catch, Howard!

He looks so intent on waiting! Very wonderful composition, the lines of the boards lead me right out of the image & make me also look for his master. Nice!!!

Howard!Wonderful photograph,I was going to skip one,but can't help saying something. I like here, how the dog himself is not the importance,he is used for the great composition, light, shadow, lines

I think that this works well, because of the contrast of the dog with all of the geometrics. Good eye Howard!

Excellent shot! I love dog portraits taken from the back, they can be so expressive, like in this case!

Howard, I found the posts here very interesting to read, simply because they affirm that I am not alone in my thinking. Some of your more recent low-light shots are not those classic 'Howard's' as we've grown to really love and enjoy. This one, however, is clearly a 'Howard' and a good one to boot. It's these photographs that will ultimately make you famous (and I kid you not). Super shot.
