The angle and composition of this shot are very good. Nice touch with the tall structure in the distance, makes the shot even more interesting.

I love the sense of perspective and the bridge - the black and white tones of the metal structure are great! I don`t know why, but I would`ve like to have only the bridge and the water in the photo... But that would mean to fake the reality, wouldn`t it? Regards, S.

Nice diagonal flow in your image and I love how the lighting plays in the grid of the bridge as well as on the cables up top. Very nice contrasts too!

Sabina, I see what you mean and I think it is an interesting idea. I may try it as well as I like to create alternative realities once and awhile.

 

Dexter, the title was not because of the cross, but simply because the bridge leads to the other side of the river. BTW, the 'cross' is not really a cross, but a very tall structure called "Cristo Rei", similar to the one in Rio de Janeiro.

 

Carlos, bom olho! Fiz esse pequeno truque porque ao experimenta-lo gostei mais de ver a luz vindo do lado esquerdo e tambem porque me parece que assim os olhos seguem mais suavemente ao longo da ponte.

I was talking on Friday with a friend about Lisbon (he was in Lisbon at the conference in November as well) and showing him photos. He liked this suspended bridge in one of mines, and I was so sorry not to have a more detailed view.

I'd say: either more water at bottom, or no water at all. I'd also worry a little about blocked shadows in some parts of the bridge. Angle is ok, but I like this week's POW better for example. Regards.

La perspectiva es muy buena. No obstante, acabo de regresar de Lisbo, (por cierto te invito a que veas mis fotos de Portugal) y creo que el Cristo Rey estᠡl otro lado. A pesar de ello la imagen, repito, es muy buena.

Marc, I also had that same feeling, but I ended up in a compromise to keep the tip of the bridge in frame and some water, as this is the widest angle my fixed lens could get. That week's POW is wayyy on a too higher league for me!

 

Angel, por cierto tienes un buen ojo. El Cristo-Rei esta originalmente en el otro lado, pero me ha gustado de ver la imagen invertida y asi la deje. Seguro que vere tus fotos de Portugal, gracias por la invitacion y por tu comentario.
