The fictitious Cartwrights of television 'Bonanza' fame supposedly

lived in Virginia City in Nevada's Virginia Mountains where this old

railroad spur and railway car wheels are abandoned down a hillside

outside of anybody's view. Your ratings and critiques are invited

and most welcome. If you rate harshly or very critically, please

submit a helpful and constructive comment/Please share your superior

knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John

Ellen, this is not my best work, and is part of a six-hour effort taken during a good day in Nevada in late fall/early winter -- a cold, blustery but very sunny day (Nevada has a lot of sunny days, even in Northern Nevada, because all the moisture is sucked out of the clouds by the Sierra as the clouds pass over then as they exit California).

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It's an unusual composition, also, more intellectual, with its unusual use of twin curves; something that not everybody could be expected to 'get'.

It's just one of those 'little' photos that takes a minute or so to take and somehow I 'like' but don't 'love' or fall 'in love' with.

I like that you've stopped by; keep coming back.
