jayme 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Local Older Building. Comments & critique welcome. Is this too light? The lighting was pretty flat, so I decided to go with it. Any ideas? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted February 16, 2006 I actually think the lighting is OK. I would like to see more of the tree. Overall the image seems a little soft. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Thanks- for the comments, I appreciate them! David- I agree, me too, but there's this really distractingly ugly building right next to the tree!:O Neat tree isn't it?! I also added a soft flat color glow to it, so you are right, it's a little soft. I thought it gave the building a little more drama. Maybe not! :) Chou- Isn't that the truth. Beautifully light cream painted building with this ugly dark brown down spout! The funny thing is this building in located in our "Historical" district. Supposedly, things like this just don't happen, somehow it slipped by someone! Our "hysterical" committee must be slipping :) Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 17, 2006 Jayme - usually I like the soft colors created by lighting in your shots, but for some reason, yes, in my opinion the lighting is too light..... It is an interesting building, though. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted February 17, 2006 Jayme, I think you did a very good job on this. You turned an ordinary scene into something that stands out. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted February 17, 2006 Sarah- I see the ugly downspout as leading me up the buiding to the peak, the sliding down the roof eave & then a big jump into the tree. Then back up on the fence & up the downspout again. Viscious circle:) Don't you wish you could actual DO this??? :))) Link to comment
