f1-fanatic 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Want to laugh.. This was a blizzard shot. But the snow is on the beach behind me. LOL Do you think this shot is too dark? Link to comment
jim hayes 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Nope, I think it sets a mood. Sort of the way the world looks when we are thinking of someone that isn't there at the moment and we wish they were. That is why I said you must be in love. f/64 Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted February 23, 2006 I like this composition very much. The balance of rock, sea, and sky works well, and the rocks and sea form a beautiful s-like curve, lending a sense of motion to the image at a deep level. (The 's' is effectively a yin-yang diagram.) But I disagree with Jim and David about the darkness. I think the sky and sea are perfect, but if we were standing there, the fg rocks would naturally appear a bit lighter than they do here. So I'd vote for brightening at least the nearest rocks just a bit, while maintaining the overall mood. I'm also wondering whether the horizon could be rotated very slightly CW. This is a good one. f1-fanatic 0 Posted February 26, 2006 Thank you both very much for taking the time to look at and evaluate this shot. The rocks in the near-field are dark mainly because of the vignetting that I added in the RAW process to draw the viewers eye towards the center a bit. Again, thank you both for the kind words... I really appreciate it. Link to comment
