juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted February 17, 2006 Hi Barry,First I would like to thank you for your kind words and the inspiration that those words and your photos give me...I also appreciate your freedom to speak your mind...So as per your example...I think your nudes are wonderful...I am not a big fan of high key lighting but I don't hate it either... I notice you shoot alot of film...film is not dead!!!Your images come across on my screen bluish in color...whether it's my screen or your doing it... is cool! This shot has the folds and creases that make a woman home to me...Knowing that this is an athelete she may need her hands but....have you tried cropping down tight the left side removing her hands?? The rest of the image to me is so sensually powerfull... the space to left distracts from the strength of the rest...I look forward as all-ways... Yes, I agree the hands are good...maybe try cropping closer to the top hand and up a little on the ankle...maybe it'll just bring the diagonals together and round everything off just fine...keep up the good work....have you had a chance to Photoshop those pesky tree from that other image yet?? bjcarlton 0 Posted February 17, 2006 Many thanks for the actual critique! I rather like the gesture of the left hand, though I also think the right hand looks a bit awkward. Were I to re-shoot the picture, I'd do something about that hand. I did, however, take pictures of the same model with a crop somewhat as you suggest. I'll post them presently; let me know what you think. Incidentally, this model is a former competitive swimmer, a sport in which her "roundedness" seems to be no hindrance. Link to comment
