nadeika 0 Posted February 13, 2006 This is quite an impressive view... I'd like to visit this museum one day. Is it a boat? Where is it? Link to comment
tholte 16,680 Posted February 13, 2006 Nadya, it is the Santiago Calatrava addition to the Milwaukee (Wisconsin) Art Museum. It is on the shores of Lake Michigan and is indeed a beautiful building. Link to comment

Karl Schuler 48 Posted February 13, 2006 Amazing architecture and great photography. Only a small thing: I suggest to remove the unsharp white on the right rooftop. Karl Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted February 13, 2006 I never get bored with this museum, and it is beautifull centered, smile..... and this little girl has pink trousers on, it just gives a finishing touch in this snowy white arty world. Els (and who is taking a picture of you taking a picture, who knows it will be on PN) Link to comment
janet_. 0 Posted February 13, 2006 if you can make photographs like these then you're a heck of a photographer! It's excellent in many ways... My compliments! Link to comment
theokeijzers 0 Posted February 13, 2006 A space ship with a background of stars, very nice again Tim. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Looks like a spaceship to me. I like the atmosphere the falling snow brings to this composition. Nice, Tim! Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Tim, this is yet another great one. You really should present the museum with a series... ...They still doing fundraiser dinners/cocktail parties? Link to comment
tholte 16,680 Posted February 14, 2006 Thanks for the nice comments, I head over to the museum when ever it snows, rains or is foggy. We are supposed to get six inches of snow in a few days so I will go back and see what happens. Christopher, I don't want anything to do with the "art establishment" anywhere, anyhow. Knowing that photographers from all over the world look and appreciate some of my Calatrava images is more than enough reward. Link to comment
jyt747 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Excellent capture of the falling snow, fantastic mood! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 14, 2006 The two groups of people are eye "cancelling" with their defferent position the central form of the image.Clever. Link to comment
tuomas kivinen 0 Posted February 14, 2006 This is maybe the most original photo of this renowned building I've seen, and I've seen quite a bit of those. It's the beautiful colours and the perfectly captured weather and lighting conditions that make this one stand out. The symmetrical composition is appropriate to the depiction of the subject, although it is not very dynamic. Link to comment
niranjn 0 Posted February 15, 2006 I am never able to capture falling snow well. Here it looks like stars, which fits with the futuristic building. The diagonal path followed by the father/kid echoes the lines in the building (wings?). Nicely done, Tim. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 15, 2006 Nicely designed composition and an interesting street/doc scene. But I especially like that blue-black sky and the huge flakes of snow. Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted February 15, 2006 I hear you re the Establishment...believe me I agree, too. Free food and booze, though! Prey upon them! :) Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted February 16, 2006 I like a lot the symmetrical composition and the deep blue tones. For me, it would be perfect without the two persons standing on the right side, or if there was only a single person walking towards the entrance. Congrats and regards, Alex Link to comment
