billfoster 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Matt Dalton from Johnson City, TN, shoots a 25 foot drop on the Bald River Falls, during a snowstorm to boot! This is actually the first sports shot I ever tried. I used the seven frame burst on my camera. It might have been better to get a bit closer, but it was just too wet and cold (I'm complaining .... hmmm.... imagine how they felt). BTW, they shot these falls from half-way down. I understand that one guy shot the whole falls (you can seee picture in Southern US folder of my portfolio), but he broke both his ankles doing it. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted February 14, 2006 The 3x sequence has a narrative value, but I would urge you consider presenting the central one by itself: you've a nice position for the kayak, and enough colour contrast for it to pull out of the whole background. After all, gravity being gravity, it tells the same story: we can imagine the guy came from above and will end up in the water below! Actually, for this last point, a single-shot rather than a sequence will build some expectation and suspence in the viewer concenring the succesful execution of the stunt... Link to comment
