juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Hey Nice shot.. I really like it..Did you use a split nuetral density filter or did ya burn/dodge/sky/water/boats?? what ever you did..good job!and good composition and lumiosity as well It's nice to have a dark room... Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted February 23, 2006 This is a totally straight shot. I don't even own a split neutral density filter. I haven't worked in the darkroom for several years. Had to give it up due to time considerations. But I will always have great respect for those who do. I just got too lazy. Now I fool around with digital, and love its potential, but bemoan the fact that I don't have the creativity to make it sing. Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted March 4, 2006 Very nice shot. I like the contrast that the dark sky makes with the bright water and the panoramic format was a good choice. Cheers, Alex Link to comment

dberryhill 3 Posted July 1, 2006 David, I'm late to the party, but this is beautifully done. The tones are marvelous, and there is indeed a very tranquil feel here. Top notch work. Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted April 5, 2008 I was browsing through your portfolio and saw this nice shot. Don't even OWN a neutral density filter, eh? That's 6 more weeks in pnet purgatory before passage on to, well heaven, I guess. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 5, 2008 Thanks for going back through some of the oldlies. This was taken in the early 90's and I still don't own a neutral density filter. Some sinners have no hope for redemption. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 8, 2008 Thanks for the info. Can you tell me how you determine what zone something is in? This image was taken when I still used film, and was one of my very first successes (in my mind anyway). Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted June 16, 2008 This is beautiful. Before my time here, but I'm finally finding it. The B&W tones complement the water nicely and the sky is fabulous. Nice work! Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted June 21, 2008 Thank you. It did not scan well, and I think is better appreciated as the original silver gelatin print. Link to comment
