Guest Guest Posted February 11, 2006 Gorgeous light and colors. The sky is truly beautiful and very well captured. The composition could use a bit more foreground interest -- the left foreground is a bit too empty. But the fence is placed very well, the diagonal leading the eye in and across to the distant hills. I love those clouds and the color of the grass. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted February 11, 2006 Agree with Chris about the left side, I would sacrifice a bit there. Nice lead-in, and great skyscape ! Looks as if you were undecided about the main element, the 1:1 ratio sky to land is ok but as a sky lover I would like to see a bit more of those great clouds, perhaps a square with a 2:1 ratio Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 12, 2006 Anabel, Carsten may be right about cropping. Though I like the dark cloud at left, a more square crop would produce an image with more impact, capitalizing on the fence, the green of the grass, and the sun-spattered clouds. Here's an example. (Forgive my rude treatment of your photo -- we do this all the time.) Link to comment
