Stray at the Docks

I was drawn to her striking eyes. A very friendly kitty, but looks a

little wild in this shot. I've never seen a cat with such unusual

eyes! Comments?

This kitty looks like a Maine Coon Cat. They are great pets, and Incredible Predators. If you were small enough to eat, You'd be Lunch.

Thanks for commenting. She lives at a fishing dock and I'm sure doesn't lack for food. She was very friendly and quite beautiful.

Kim, it seems to my eye that whatever you work on you have a heavenly touch as photographer. Although this cat of yours is not, in my opinion, one of your best photos, also this photo has a "Kim Slonakist" touch to it that can only inspire us all to become better.

The cat does look clean and well fed. Strays don't usually fair that well.

Kim, she sure looks like a Maine Coon, they are beautiful, and as George said they are voracious eaters. Check out our Borgart.

what a Beautiful Kitty! I'm afraid that I would have tried to take this kitty home with me then I would have been in trouble as I already have about seven kitties. You did a nice job on this and it looks like this kitty was willing to pose for you. Excellent.

I saw a cat with eyes like this at a local shelter - I'm not a huge cat person, but that particular cat has haunted me ever since. I dream about those absolutely brilliant, jade-green (with darker jade features) from time to time. You've caught a similar pair here very nicely :) I might have liked a little more room on the left, but I could be wrong Oh, and I agree -- looks like a Maine Coon. Well done!

Thanks, everyone. I DO have more room on the left; I deliberately cropped close to leave it all cat. I have a few more shots of the cat as she rolled over, playfully. Might post one of those soon.

Beautiful range of tones. I especially like the light in the eyes and the color of the eyes against the rest of the color scheme.

Never heard of a Maine coon cat, but if she is one, that's a very pretty breed of cat.

Hi Kim, a lovely cat indeed. Maybe it's not a stray cat. I know some owners let their cats wonder during the day but they know how to go back home for food and shelter. Very nice composition.

What striking eyes! Great capture of such a pretty cat. Good lighting and DOF on this one. Does look like a main coon to me. Mine is part Main coon and Norweigen mix I believe. Stop off and check my portfolio. The eyes remind me of my cats. Very green. I love your cat work. Very beautiful!
