aepelbacher 0 Posted February 10, 2006 A different street market. I didn't get as many pictures at this one in Miramont-de-Guyenne as I got in Issigeac. But I loved these buttons, the shapes of the containers, the colors... I flipped and rotated the picture to get a better angle and boosted the contrast and saturation. What are your thoughts? cjrupp 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Lou, I really like the composition and color here. Could almost be abstract. Nice shot. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 11, 2006 This is cool, Lou Ann. As mentioned, quite abstract. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 11, 2006 I like how they're organised by colour, very pleasing to the eye. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 11, 2006 Thanks, ya'll! I LOVE that they're arranged by color! And I also liked the abstract quality of the shot. I'm sure that Jayme will come along and think up some great filter to use with this and it will look super-more-abstract. :-) But the way it is works for me, too! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted February 11, 2006 Oh yea! This one is on the absract full of color creatively seen and processed table! Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted February 12, 2006 I like the idea, this is in the same time abstract and descriptive. Yet I am a bit put out by the rotation of the picture because the out of focus parts are in the angles, what makes a curious effect. Link to comment
rkynast 1 Posted February 12, 2006 A very good abstract, Lou Ann. I thought at first that someone had painted stones in the street. I found myself tilting my head to the side to try and make sense of the photo and I don't know if that was your intention. Regards. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 12, 2006 Yes, the angle. Well, there were so many people, faces, hands ... I had to lean over at a weird angle to get the shot without people in it. I have tried every possible flip and turn of the image, and this was the only one that I found palatable. I'm amazed that I got one without a finger or a nose leaning over it. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 13, 2006 Looks like a puzzle Lou Ann,nicely organized in color. I wonder who was so skilful to arranged them so nicely... good eye to observe it, Pnina! Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted February 13, 2006 Very nice abstract. I like the angle and how the detailed in focus button stripes fall diagonally in the center. Link to comment
kleintje 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Lou Ann, wonderful image! I just love it! It takes me back to the days I would go with my mother to the shop where they sold fabrics to pick out some stuff. One of them had half a wall filled with these. You couldn't have depicted this in a better way! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Really neat image Lou Ann. I really like it, nice job! Link to comment
sue3 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Lou Ann, you can thank all those people shopping for buttons who forced you to choose this angle because it really works this into an excellent image. I love it! Sue. Link to comment
reprint 0 Posted February 15, 2006 Really nice image. Abstract with suggestion of diagonal lines and lots of colour. I think the glass/plastic bases that the buttons are sitting on make this shot. With the buttons sitting on top, they look like abstract flowers. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted February 15, 2006 Lou Ann, I like the abstract quality of this image. Wish that the bottom right buttons are also in focus. The colorful buttons really make for an interesting, fun image. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted February 15, 2006 Nice abstract, well seen. First I thougt about more DOF but then... The sharp zone against the OOF is kind of diagonal, fits well into the composition. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted February 19, 2006 I agree with Paula; she said it all. At first I thought this was stained glass. Interesting abstract. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted February 19, 2006 I like all of the color and circles. To me, this is a wonderful mosaic abstract. Nice work on the angle, too...more interesting than straight on (which is what I would have done)...sometimes it takes circumstances (like crowds) for us to be more creative! Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted February 22, 2006 Nice angle, it makes the scene even more lively. I suppose it was a shopkeeper or assistent who arranged the buttons, but i like how the colours are to some extent arranged but not entirely. This has the same fun effect as the angle that makes the dots seem higglety pigglety and fun. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted June 30, 2006 this is one of my favorites! i love all the colors, the patterns of repeating circles, and the variation of size and shape. Link to comment
