carsten_ranke 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Nice diagonal composition, and a wonderful symphony of autumnal colors. I think it was a good idea not to include the horizon. Cheers Carsten Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted February 15, 2006 Low contrast light from an overcast sky is both a blessing and a curse. Lots of details are revealed as well as saturated colours even without the aid of a polarizing filter. Reflections in the water lack the desireable deep blue to counter the mass of yellow that one would get under sunny skies. We must rely on colours, shapes, and lines to make an interesting photo. Your opinion on whether this one meets your critical requirements, for said interesting photo, will be gratefully received. Best, LM. Link to comment
rejith 1 Posted February 15, 2006 Beautiful colours, Len .. I dont know if the yellow border of the same colour as the yellow in the leaf was a nice idea though ... Do you think a darker border will make those nice autumn yellows stand out a bit more ?? Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted February 16, 2006 Rejith, Thanks for your input. After browsing your portfolio I agree that a darker frame would set the shot off better. I'm looking for a way that would enhance the presentation for a majority of my shots and I think your way has much merit. I'll consider it next time I have a post. Keith, thanks for stopping by with your observations and kind remarks. Best, LM. Link to comment
