Guest Guest Posted February 11, 2006 Robert, I like the lighting overall, especially the bright backdrop. This is a good pose for Mario, too. It shows off his physique very well, and the image is full of your usual excellent detail capture...the stretch marks on his upper left arm, for instance. That said, I'm a bit concerned about the shadow thrown by Mario's upraised right arm. Was this intentional on your part? I'd also like to see his left hand somewhere, so I'm wondering if this is a crop? I think the inclusion of his left hand would give both him and the photo more attitude, more strength. I'm trying not to fall into that trap of "If I'd shot this one, I'd have done so-and-so," so I'll shut up now. Best Regards - Jim Link to comment
robertfarnham 0 Posted February 12, 2006 The strong shadow on his face was created on purpose. He found his pose and I positioned the light so that contrast would be there. The hand...I see what you mean, but this is the sheet. There's no more image to play with. He must remain handless in this shot... Thanks for your critique. R. Link to comment
