BATHING PROHIBITED

This was part of the Shelton Bar steel works in Stoke. It was closed

down in the late 1970s, like pretty much everything else in Stoke at

that time.

The green layer beind the sign is the water supply for a cooling

tower. I used f32 on my Tamron 28mm lens to get the whole scene in

focus.

What do you think?

I can't think of a reason why anyone would even want to bathe in that, even without the algae on the water! Not the most relaxing environment for a bath. Was a sign really necessary?!
