Guest Guest Posted February 7, 2006 Nice use of a silhouette of a leafless tree to show the desert landscape, Pnina. The grass, would a little more highlight to show its golden brown a little more to emphasize dryness and improve the image? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 7, 2006 To all of you. Thai, it was taken in early morning, I have only converted it to Sepia. I have more that shows the dryness and desert landscape that I will upload soon. Pnina Link to comment
elina_kangas 0 Posted February 7, 2006 I like this, especially how the clouds "mirror" the tree... Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted February 7, 2006 I like the simplicity of the tree silhouetted against the sky. Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted February 7, 2006 Pnina, Some of your artistic ability seems to be present in this one. I particularly like the way you show some light on the grasses diagonally opposite the clouds.....Makes it more than a good silhouette.....Jim Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted February 7, 2006 it's a good composition and for sure looks hot and dry - interestingly it doesn't need to be sunny to show that. Link to comment

cjrupp 0 Posted February 7, 2006 A very evocative image Pnina, the silhouetted area portending the unknown, and the light beckoning the viewer to move on. Love the tone. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 8, 2006 You KNOW how I love landscapes!! This is a gorgeous one! It's exactly how I imagine Africa. I'm SO glad that you included this in your photo-essay. By the way - are you going to do a presentation with these images eventually? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 8, 2006 Thanks to all of you.I have converted it to Sepia as the desert really looks brown more than any other color. I will upload more of the desert. Lou Ann, I may do a presentation at the end. Pnina Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted February 8, 2006 Pnina, I'm late again and there isn't a lot left to say. I like this a lot.The cloud and silhouetted tree are beautifully positioned and balance each other well with the quieter space tp the right. Link to comment
