paula grenside 0 Posted February 6, 2006 It seemed to me this anemone was the veil and headpiece of a bride, hence the title. Thank you for your comments. Link to comment

alexandra rauh 0 Posted February 7, 2006 Your exreriment Paula, very successful. Interesting for me, since I have trouble with my new macro lens .I like the crop, how from the center details it opens generously into the wide open purple space. Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted February 7, 2006 Beautiful composition & Colours, Paula. Very good angle & placement of the flower centre in the corner. Looks like a part of a garland. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted February 7, 2006 how lucky are we that you got a new lens, this is very promising! I understand what you show with the title. That colour is killing, is it still blue? Already purple? Never seen such a flower. Link to comment
domenicopescosolido 0 Posted February 8, 2006 Real a wonderful composition with great DOF. Wich lend did you use? Bye Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted February 8, 2006 Paula, a superb macro shot, the detail in the middle bit (never did biology at school!) of the flower is excellent and the blurry petals are nice. But you tell us you have a new macro lens, beautiful pics, but then do not tell us what lens it is! so....???? :-) Do you find you need a tripod for this sort of shot? Link to comment
treeffe 0 Posted February 8, 2006 Bellissima Paula, un ottimo close up con un mix di dettaglio e softness davvero bello. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted February 9, 2006 You asked about the lens. It's Extension tube set Dg for Canon. Three rings to apply to the 55-200mm lens. With the three rings I can get as close as 3 millimetres, But here I used only one ring as I wanted the heart of the flower and part of the petals. And I use manual focus. Thank you so much. still experimenting:-) Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted February 9, 2006 So glad you enjoyed this. I was intrigued by the stamen ( will I ever learn the names of flower parts?) and shot so many to make the flower reveal its essence. Thank you so much. Andrea, this is the true color of the anemone, it's blue purple and under the right light it has silver streaks in the pistils(???). Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted February 9, 2006 The simplicity of a flower caught in a superb manner. The image speaks for itself. Complimenti Link to comment
daily_photograph 0 Posted February 10, 2006 "Searching for the blue flower" the synonym for the Romantic Period. Well opposed the areas of great sharpness and haziness. Link to comment
