Shot at very late with nikon f4 and colour reversal. Comments wellcome.

Interesting transformation of what I reckon to be running water into ghost-like "apparitions". Maybe it's because of the colour range, the low-key exposure and my am. interpretation, but the general atmosphere here feels quite Gothic, maybe slightly too much for my liking. The composition is beautiful and rich with the foreground/background action creating a fine sense of depth/space.

Great stuff, I wouldn't know how to do this.

I like photos that convey other worldy or unreal athmosphere. Here I really like how the brighest lines on the stream look, and how they separate from the surrounding rocks and bring out the scare light that the scene has (the photo works the best in the larger version).

 

What I would like would have been a bit looser crop from the bottom to reveal a bit more of the foggy stream (now a triangle formed by the left and rightmost streams looks like it is cut off from the tip).

 

Good job on spotting and making this shot.

...for the comments. what was funny with these shots is that it was so dark i couldn't really see what i was shooting. I had to use the flash to get a "blink" of the scene :) There i was in the middle of nowhere, in the night, accompanied only by wolves and bears and beavers.... lol... The things we do to enjoy ourselves!
