wild nature 0 Posted February 6, 2006 While in the Ngorongoro crater, I came across this solitary young Zebra which for hours seemed to guide a group of very large, retired bulls. They did not seem to care to follow the zebra to the water hole. This behaviour went on for some time....I was wondering if there was a case of "Identity Crisis" here? Link to comment
steve_phillipps 0 Posted February 6, 2006 Very nice composition, mellow light, only works because the elephants are all looking the same way. Very nice. Link to comment
doeke 0 Posted February 6, 2006 WOW! Very good photo! I love the powerfull composition and the depth of field. The out of focus zebra is a welcome addition. What I like most of this shot is the perspective! Thanks for showing... Link to comment

marina-cano 0 Posted February 6, 2006 Preciosa escena! Tanto el grupo de elefantes como la cebra cobran una dimension extraordinaria. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 7, 2006 Well balanced. I like the way your eyes go straight to the elephants and are then drawn to the zebra. Part of me wishes he was in sharp focus, too, but I do like it a lot anyway. Link to comment
barreto 0 Posted February 8, 2006 Very good composition. Elephants trio (beautiful!) in great "pose"! Link to comment
bens 0 Posted February 8, 2006 i agree, great story, a really fine composition. there's an attractive balance here, with the elephants on one side, the rise behind them heading up on the other side, and of course the zebra there as well. for my taste, I would have liked to see the zebra in focus as well, as an important part of the story, but I realize it may not have been possible given the available light. an interesting, well done photo. cromwell1664877587 0 Posted February 9, 2006 Excellent story and composition, Cesar. I think if the zebra was in focus, this would look more like just an ordinary photo. As it is, it's a great photo that stands out. Being out of focus also makes him look like an outsider, which gives the photo some emotion. Link to comment
tom t 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Excellent shot; the elephants all looking the same direction makes it work, and having the zebra right there is just perfrect. Me too I would have preferred the zebra in focus. Tom Link to comment
