You're right Edgar; full of joy the dog ran up the ice where it looks so plesant. They were a merry crowd. But it was visible a disappoited experience for him. He looked so sad when he shuffled towards the bank..... I've tried to project myself in the dog and I think that he must have come to the conclusion that the only way to keep going on the ice is put on skates. It's my experience too. I love it!

Thank you Pnina for your appreciation. No, this isn't my dog. I even don't know his name. He is sweet, isn't he? BTW, I didn't crop the shot. It is the full format and I had to take the picture so unexpected. In advance I thought it wouldn't come out because the dog was so close by my camera. But luckily it worked out well. Ada! A Dutch boyfriend for our Dakota - how nice of you! We had some ice here (believe it or not!) back in the Fall, and my three went flying out onto the deck like normal - "morons on ice" - it was hilarious! One of them slid right off onto the yard...I'm sorry to say I added insult to injury by dying laughing.

 

This picture is so nice, and he DOES look sad to not be able to play with the skaters! Very nice job catching that expression on his face, dearest!

What a sweet dog Ada! I love the composition...coming out of the frame as he/she appears, his fur looks so soft! I owe you mail, I've not forgotten. :)

I love this shot of the dog. It has it all the sweet, playfull, Cheeky. When you look at this photo you wonder what has he seen. the lighting on the ice is just right no overexpose

( ik wil ook schaatsen ) Leuk ! Ik zat achter de computer en jij was er. Jij en mama zaten te kletsen en jij zegt , heb je de hond al gehad. Ik wist niet waar je het over had en toen vertelde mama dat jij die naar haar computer had gestuurd. Ik ken de *mooie* foto dus al ! Maar ik heb de nederlandse versie !! Ik vind het z�'n schattig hondje ! very cute !!

Verrassing, weer zo'n mooi commentaar van je. Ik word helemaal blij van wat je schrijft. Ik dacht Flore die kent deze foto al dus ze komt niet meer langs. Maar ja hoor, toch wel:~))) Ja, ik vind die hond ook heel lief. Jammer dat ik helemaal niet weet waar hij woont, dan zou ik zijn baasje of bazinnetje de foto kunnen geven. Ik heb ze wel gezien. Ze waren ook even op het ijs. Maar wie weet komen we ze nog wel eens tegen of ik hang zijn foto bij de Super. Idee he? Heeft de vorige keer ook goed gewerkt.

 

Nou meid het was heel leuk om je stukje te lezen en natuurlijk ben ik blij dat je het een goede foto vindt.

So nice of you to pay a visit to this sad doggie, Detlef. When I came home after shooting and pored over this shot on my laptop screen I felt the urging to search for a teachable reason for the dog's sadness. I think my human approach makes it all less sad.
