Pestuem Temple Sunset

dennismk

The light became amazing after the site closed, But we were able to shoot between the bars in the iron fence and capture the fantastic light. I will never forget Pestuem. Shot with a Nikon N80 and the 2.8 pro Tokina lens. Update: The stone's in front of the Temple look darker on the this site but looks better in the print. Its hard to get images to look good on the web. On Luminous Landscape site it's almost imposable. Great site though.

The color of the sky is beautiful, but the composition leaves something to be desired. The stone building needs to relate better to the trees and the openness of the sky to the left.

Matt thank you for your thought full comment I like feedback that takes a differnt view. For my self, I like the way the Tempel relates to the area around it. The stones in the forground show far more texture than the web can show. I was looking for a differnt point of view when I croped the image. I also see the world in a wide format and though I take a good number of typical landscape shots I really like a more impessionistic(pardon my spelling, worlds worst you know, and my wife is not around) personal interpertion to a landscape. I really like the work of Eddie Ephraums, but I wish to work in color. I will try to add the image uncroped for you and others to view. Thank you
