Happy Birthday

jayme

The original image was terrible, camera shake due to cast on hand. It was way too cute to throw out so I used it as a basis for a painting.

This is our daughter Haylee & her son Tyson at his 1 year birthday party. The image was really bad, due to camera shake on my part, 5 days postop first hand surgery. It was too cute to throw out, so I used it as a basis for a painting. I can't tell you everything I did,(I can't remember) lots of painting & redrawing to correct for the shake, lots of layers, several texture layers. Lots of burning & dodging.

When I looked at the thumbnail, I thought it was Morgan Fairchild. Love your creativity Jayme. BTW, would you mind if I emailed you regarding a PS question?

I couldn't remember where I saw it! AND... where I read the statement! I PS it because it was a bad picture. See, I have this stupid tremor and sometimes I think it is easier to just PS things when they are a little bit blurry :) ~ I get asked all the time HOW do you get the PS to work so well and my answer is always the same... WELL you start with an OVER exposed BAD picture ;) ~ HA
That is what made THIS picture SO ABSOLUTELY SPECIAL! Not that it was EVER BAD! It is special because YOU spent so much time on it!

You worked on it and looked at it like it was a prize to give to someone. Look at the results it is BEAUTIFUL beyond your wildest imagination! A 7/7 if ever there was one! I love the colors and softness of it and the way her hair glows. It worked perfectly and the eyes match perfectly! ~ WONDERFUL! ;) ~ Thank you for sharing not only the picture but how it worked out! ~ micki

Thanks Micki. The new one is a lot bigger file, a lot more detail in a lot of different areas. This one shows well at a distance the newer version shows well up close :) At least I think so! What do I know? Not much!
