Looks like some weird type of fireworks agains a starry sky. Interesting picture.

They are very beautiful and relaxing to watch. A challenge to get a good shot, though!

Lock of golden hair? Fireworks? Blaze of fire? Alien? I wouldn't have guessed a jelly fish!

Lucy, I was going to leave it open for interpretation because it could have been many other things. AK, it was very difficult as the lighting was very low. I had a monopod and boosted the ISO way up and that helped.

it is floating, orange color, color of netherlands, and I like how this orange is coming back in the frame, I would have made the orange line just a little bit smaller, but I like it Kim

Thanks for the comments. Els, I can see your point. I use a standard thickness when making my "frames" and never seem to experiment any more.

On the beach they don't really look appealing, but in the water they are the ballerinas of the sea. They are beautiful to look at when swimming (given you're not surrounded by them in the water... ;), and just looking at this photo already is relaxing... I love the way you captured this one.

You're right, Ilse. I can see why people want a jellyfish aquarium in their home, but apparently they are hard to keep.

A jellyfish aquarium??? We're already having a hard time with our fish... I can imagine jellyfish are even harder to keep, mainly being saltwater animals and needing some sort of current in the water... I wonder, why can't people just leave them where they belong?

Ilse, people always want to bring beauty into their homes, even when it is not appropriate.
