melissapapajphotography 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Taken at Capitol Reef. What do you think? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 5, 2006 I very much like the lighting, but the sky color doesn't seem right to me - it's very purple. I think with a little adjustment there to get more blue instead of purple, you will have a very nice landscape shot. Link to comment
melissapapajphotography 0 Posted February 5, 2006 The sky was really this purple. I know it almost looks fake to me. I probably should adjust it though because I have had a lot of people say that. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Absolutely love this! Love the tones, composition, all of it. Keep the sky, especially if it's real. Link to comment
melissapapajphotography 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Thanks Will...I guess I will keep the sky...it has really been bugging me whether to keep it or not...LOL Link to comment
will king 0 Posted February 5, 2006 I think the purple goes well with the burnt sienna. Just my opinion. Even if it wasn't real, I say keep it. This isn't photo-journalism, so realistic accuracy isn't the primary goal, beauty and interest are the goals. Link to comment
dwm1953 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Whether real or imagined, a cast tends to flatten the image. Once the cast is removed subtle variations in tonality can be exploited to add depth. This image appears to have a magenta cast. With the cast removed and a few other adjustments for your consideration... Link to comment
sonicstep 0 Posted February 23, 2006 A very nice shot Melissa. It looks like a scene from One Million Years B.C. I also have to credit Mr Miller for his enhancement. It has reduced the cast and has provided depth as he had intended. It is a 'little' too bright on the mountain highlights to the far right for me though David. It would seem that light emphasis and tonal adjustment as suggested was used there to help build depth into the scene. Link to comment
