ljk 0 Posted February 5, 2006 This tunnel is a shortcut, under the train tracks to get to our house from town. Link to comment

1000wordsphotography 0 Posted February 5, 2006 A tunnel of love? I am an incurable romantic. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Almost looks futuristic because of the purple glow. I'm wondering how this would look with the top of the roof on the right cropped off to lend more of an "in the future" look to it? Very cool the way it is, Linda. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted February 6, 2006 Nice one, but could be spooky. I'm glad that Roger is there with you. --Lannie Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 6, 2006 I usually don't like titles, but this one really works: It expresses perfectly how the tunnel both entices and threatens. The shortcut looks convenient (we can actually see the other side!) but risky, creepy even. This shot works aesthetically, but it's the conceptual basis that's exceptionally compelling. A couple of quibbles: the large patch of darkness and sky at top keep pulling my eye up there, and I feel that distracts from the message of the shot. Perhaps a bit could be cropped off the top. Also, the softness in the right foreground is slightly distracting. Perhaps that could be cropped too, though I think it plays an important role in adding depth, making the shortcut seem more distant, mysterious, and risky. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted February 7, 2006 Chris, thank you for your observations. I left the crop on the side as is, because of the very reason you mention. As far as the sky above, I think it is an important color element, echoing the blue at the end of the tunnel. Thank you all for your visits. Feels like being "home", even though I am not.... pnital 36 Posted February 7, 2006 Interesting mysterious composition. The blue in the tunnel looks like a part leading to the upper outside part... I like the vague feeling it transmits. Pnina Link to comment

susan stone 0 Posted February 9, 2006 Keep dreaming Roger, what a high, the country you love and the woman you love both in the same place. I love the feeling of mystery and intrigue this image evokes for me. And I love the subtle colors of purple combined with the glowing light. Well seen Linda and a wonderful exposure. Link to comment
