alexander ziegler 0 Posted February 5, 2006 should it not be INSIGHT? I like the composition and the very restricting use of DOF giving good contrast to the different textures in the pic. But tell me: What is that person doing there? Link to comment
alban 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Strong mood both by tone of b/w and the pose of man, as trying to contain his pain inside. Nice chosen angle. Well done. Link to comment
nathan cote 0 Posted February 6, 2006 i really enjoy the tones and contrast int he image. it is gridded out well also, nice balance and focal points between the man and the drain. the blur effect is cheesey. it doesnt look like shallow depth of field, i do like the effect and that you were trying to create the depth of field because there is a nice blend of focus between the spout and the man who is out of focus. id say work on layering the blur so it isnt so sharp. by that i mean that its completely in focus then an immediate blur, more of a gradient blur. if its more of a gradient it will look like shallow depth of field. raviin 2 Posted February 7, 2006 I like the framing and composition ! But can u tell me wht made u frame it like it Can u tell me the story behind this image It gives an expression as if he is on the brink of suicide Link to comment
huron 0 Posted February 10, 2006 nathan cote - i tried to do this with a blur gradient, effect was not so strong, but well looked too Link to comment
nathan cote 0 Posted February 10, 2006 if you make multiple layers and use a gradient erasing tool it sometimes makes it easier to make more of a gradient. i cant really tell that its a gradient. im not the greatest with photoshop so i dont have much advice to give in the mechanics of the program.
