carnevali 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Great image (6/6). I love the this strong b/w and the great DOF of this shot. Regards, Roberto. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 5, 2006 A really eye-catching composition. The sky is interesting, and I love the view into the distance on the right. An excellent image. Several critical comments: I wonder if it would be even better if you cropped a bit off the bottom or moved slightly closer to the tree. I also wonder whether the tree and the ground could be brightened slightly. It's unfortunate that the shapes of the trees in the background merge with the trunk of the tree in the foreground. But it's not obvious how this could be avoided. Overall, this is a fine picture, one I'd enjoy viewing repeatedly. Link to comment
mrhaydon 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Thanks Chris, I echo your critique myself. I was worried that the trunk of the tree clashing with the trees in the background might be distracting, but I didn't want to clone anything out. I am not perfectly happy until I find a good angle to shoot this creature. Thanks for taking the time. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 8, 2006 Michael, where was it taken, it is a bit similar to a desert tree. its form looks tortured by a rough weather conditions. The violet color gives it a melancholic look. I'm not disturbed by the trees in the bg. imo it is not significant.Well done. Pnina Link to comment
