lgreene 0 Posted February 2, 2006 What pretty light dappled on a pretty grey dappled horse. I like the whiskers being accented.Such a stunning horse but the barbed wire really doesn't match.I understand there's not much you can do in this situation as horses love visitors(and treat handouts)so they stay near the fence. If only it were a wood fence! hanna_cowpe 0 Posted February 2, 2006 Thankyou Leann. He was a beauty, or maybe it was a she; I didn't notice. This was farmy territory and I could see by the 'evidence' that cows were kept in the adjacent field, hence the barbed wire. I agree it's not as aesthetic as a wooden fence, but then only the head and neck would have been visible. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 7, 2006 The shadows under this tree are perfect for the exposure on his face. What a friendly guy (?) ... looks like he wanted to slurp on your lens. :-) Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted February 7, 2006 Lou Ann, you're right, he did. I was right up at the fence with my wide angle lens and him a good distance away. He moved over so quickly I had to jump back. Good thing I didn't land arse first in a cow pat. Link to comment

kim_tural 0 Posted February 9, 2006 Nice b/w portrait of this beautiful animal. Great that you used the darkness of the tree as a background. It outlines the animal very nicely. He does look friendly! Link to comment
