randall paul 0 Posted February 1, 2006 Anniversary Day in Auckland. Thousands of large vessals and smaller craft head for the harbour for a day of sailing and motoring. Link to comment

randall paul 0 Posted February 1, 2006 Don't mind the tilt but when your shooting a 80-200 2.8 at 30 knots it is pretty tough to get it right on the horizon. But after reviewing it I like the implied action of the shot due to the tilt on the horizon. Thanks RP Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted February 1, 2006 Beautiful! I am surprised at the ratings...and you could straigten this out in 1 minute in PS. It's the shot that counts! Nice work. Link to comment
randall paul 0 Posted February 3, 2006 Hi Sarah! Agreed so I decided to give a Photoshop version for the heck of it! Regards Randall Link to comment
forrest_andrew 0 Posted February 11, 2006 i like the image and particularly the slight sepia color. my critique is not of the photo, but the chose of font. the ships and color give a historic feel, but the bold and strong font doesn't really jive with this same feeling. maybe an old-fashioned or hand-written font would be more suitable?? randall paul 0 Posted February 11, 2006 Agreed Andrew! A lovely 17th century script would be appropriate signed over the photo in the old nautical style. I am not a real photoshop wiz and I suppose there are plug-ins like Suitcase that would give me that ability. Unfortunately I don't have this capability for the web. The master Matt print will have exactly that in a white ink caligraphy. I do not present what I do here as It is web presentation. Thanks you! You've got it in one. RP Link to comment
