forrest_andrew 0 Posted February 2, 2006 i often think of consistency as the separating factor between being good and being great. your work is 'great' in every sense of the word. keep 'em coming...just incredible. Link to comment
Fishermang 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Damn, I can't spot where you placed the grad filter :D Fantastic photo!! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 5, 2006 Excellent image, Marc. The dark silhouettes are a strong compositional element and I think that the curved horizon together with the exploding rays in the background add great tension to the photograph. Regards, Christoph Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted February 26, 2006 Stunning detail and reflections in a very interesting composition. The uncorrected super-WA view is a nice creative touch that sets this apart from most landscapes. And perfect handling of challenging shadows and highlights. The amount of the image area that fades to black is just right, for my taste -- a bit more, and it'd be too dominant, a bit less and it wouldn't be the same picture. Link to comment
kovax 0 Posted February 27, 2006 Hi Marc, You have an absolutely jaw dropping gallery. Very inspiring. I would like to ask a question. You use GND filters a lot. Do you use the "P" cokin holder system, or some other solution? I am asking this, because I thought that e.g. the cokin "P" holder (not the filter itself) has a diameter of about 74mm, so it is bound to give some vignetting (when you use a lens like the 17-40 with 77 mm diameter). How do you solve this problem? Also, if you shoot digital, have you considered to use some kind of software GND solution instead of the "hardware" solution? I am asking these questions because I am thinking about to buy some GND filter, but I am a bit unsecure about its usability and benefits vs. software solutions. I looks that you master this technique so I am just hoping that you might share some of your experience. Thank You Kovax Link to comment
