afterthoughts 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Very cool shot. However, you would never get me up there. Regards, Howard Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted January 31, 2006 A wonderful bridge, Linda. Did you take an photos of it from the bottom looking up? I'm thinking that view would give a nice abstract. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted February 1, 2006 This trestle bridge was once used for the railroad. The surrounding forest burned, but the bridge survived. Today, it's used as part of a walking trail. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted February 1, 2006 Shawn, I did take some from below, but the light was better for this perspective... Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted February 2, 2006 Hey! what a great old timber trestle bridge! Glad it survived the fire. Er..,you seem to be leaning out a bit beyond the parapet rail, Linda! I'm all for getting to the right position for a shot but ...:-) I like how the steps and the bridge head to the same point. Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted February 27, 2006 Did you just rearrange some folders or something? How did I miss several of these images the first time around? Okay - anyway ... I LOVE the line created by the top of the bridge and the line created by the foot path below. Link to comment
tylerwind 0 Posted October 20, 2006 Linda-I saw this shot in your portfolio and was looking through saying to myself "I KNOW I critiqued this shot!" but I couldn't find my comments. I went back through my comments and found what I was thinking about: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5030082 Take a look at that shot by Heneu Tan--it is almost identical! At first I thought it was the same shot but he has a couple on the bridge and the exposures and compositions are a bit different. I must say that while I liked Heneu's, yours is a much stronger shot. Your composition is better, focusing on the bridge without a few distractions that are included in the similar shot and, I love your colors and saturation! I never noticed how much better the other shot could be until I put it side by side with yours! Congratulations on another good shot. I thought it was weird someone had what is obviously a different shot but a very similar composition of the same bridge--must be a photographer favorite or a real odd coincidence! Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 22, 2006 Ha!! How right you are! This was taken when I was in the Melbourne area. The bridge, however, is in the middle of nowhere...indeed a very strange coincidence! Link to comment
