Light & colors fit in this Animistic image. And these artifacts make an impressive composition which strongly draws my eyes into the image.

I hope she won't be enraged at violent behavior of us humankind, or is it too late?

Very poetical image. The goddess is the link of union between the sky and land. Can she be that is enclosed by the man?

Regards.

Wow! Your creative side coming out again Paula. Very good. I can see the figure cleanly rendered with the gate.

i think i wouldliek it better without the goddess: a well-composed landscape with interesting clouds. the superimposed image looks too much "in your face" there is enough Gaia in the landascape as is. i like the shif in white balance that gives it an otherworldly look.

Paula, a fascinating image - the light in the landscape bit is excellent. I like the idea of creating images of the classical myths. As I understand it Gaia is the Earth mother figure from Greek creation myths. I think my first thought would have been to use a landscape with as little human influence as possible. But having said that putting her in a setting with human influence as you have done maybe adds another layer to the idea. I like the colour you have used for the figure and the way she is coming up through, part of, the ground.

Paula, somehow I tend to agree with Naftali, there is some spell in the landscape, light is very interesting on the fence. The blue bg. has many nuances and connects well to the fence. IMO the composition is rich without the figure, but of course it is only me... Pnina

Manuel, you might be right;in fact, I think your interpretation is spot on.

Alec, thank you for adding your comment to this.

Naftali and Pnina, replying to both of you as you name the same point. OK, my idea was to represent Gaea( or Gaia). I am nor sure my concept would come through without the human figure. I made her almost tansparent and merging in all elements. The Greek did see Gaea as a woman, a female divinity and I have always thought of her as a woman; that's why I represented her this way. Thank you for posting your opinion, which I value. I do not always agree :-), but surely consider it and think about it.

Colin, I made the "human" presence as little intruding as possible. Thank you for your constant, costructive feedback.

Ken, poetic image flatters me. Thank you so much.

Julio, thank you for your constant support.
