stephen hazelton 3 Posted January 29, 2006 An excellent image of an ordinary place, not often photographed. Link to comment

wingell 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Thanks, all, for the kind words. I've been wanting to do a laundromat newsfeature for some time; when, in the midst of doing my own wash, I saw this smartly-dressed subject walk into the place and start to do her laundry, I dashed out to the van to get the 5D, which, as is usually the case, had the 16-35 2.8 attached (bless that full-frame sensor!). I took about five fast shots, moving closer until I got this one; the subject never looked up. This image is uncropped; I like the laundry stuff on top of the machine, especially the blue soap container--I think it anchors the scene. Thanks...Bill Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,318 Posted January 31, 2006 This is an interesting image to me, but actually I was wondering about the purple scarf. I've don't remember seeing one in the midwest. Is that a regional style? I just met someone from NH & she was wearing one. Link to comment
