Alec, that's a beautiful shot. I like the way you managed to get al the skyscrapers against the red glowing part of the sky. I also like the lights of the cars back in the right-hand corner. Might seem a small detail, but balances the brigt sky and brings out a corner of the picture which would have been too dull and dark without them. This attention to the details make it a great shot.

been waiting to see this one Alec. it was a gorgeous evening and it looked stunning right from the camera itself. though i am surprised the colors actually look a bit toned down here, they were richer and intense in real and in your camera. I think the jpeg compression is a bit too high on this image, and does make the colors a bit dull. I would suggest use a smaller size picture but save as a higher quality jpeg.

Amar, Marina, Julio, Frank, Kim, Glen really appreciate your kind comments.

Salvatore, Bilal you're right. The sky seems to be in flames when we were there but if I were to show it in it's true colors it will look over saturated. Hmmmm, isn't it strange I had to bring up the shadows and highlights to make it more natural? Quite difficult but patience pays off.

Alec ... fantastic shot, as always. This is definitely one of the highlights of your portfolio. Did you take this from the top of that shopping center there? This is (minus the spectacular sunset) almost exactly the view from my hotel when I was there. The only thing that could improve it is to see the second theater of the Esplanade. I hate seeing it chopped in half. Of course, that much more empty space might have unbalanced the shot. Anyway, congrats on another winning effort.

Super shot Alec. I can see that when you are not in San Francisco you are a different photographer.
