Guest Guest Posted January 27, 2006 I'm assuming from the title that this work refers to Bellmer. I could be wrong but as Bellmer was born in Katowice, about an hours drive from Oswiecim, I suspect I'm right. This is a strange image, especially when I can imagine Bellmer's creations around it. I really wonder what the hell you imagine you are trying to say with your holocaust series. Perhaps you could elucidate a bit. Best wishes......Darrell Link to comment
mirkomkb 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Thank you for the comment, Darrel: what is not clear to you about my relation to the Holocaust theme? Some people feel offended if this subject is not directly connected to a "suffering ultra thin man", maybe dressed in strips working uniform. Well, I tried to enter inside one of the people who experienced this hell on earth and, in this case, the association with the Bellmer work (you got the point;) was just to underline how a man can lose the reasoning abilities in such a place. Becoming as a mannequin, as a doll, in this case. The surrounding of all is not directly coming from Oswiecim but it is one of the original train "compartment" found in Lodz-Radegast (the so called train of the kids). You can think it a little provocation: maybe. The fact that you are asking yourself questions about this work makes me think that I got the point. Then, of course, people can insult me thinking that I want to "use" this topic for my own business. Well, looking at the rest of my works I guess it's quite visible that I do not need this to increase my fantasy. I just feel close to this theme, and I think that, still, too little is spoken about it. Best, Mirko Link to comment
santoni 0 Posted February 9, 2006 Impressionante! Un immagine che trasmette l'angoscia dell'annullamento della persona. L'atmosfera psichedelica amplifica la sensazione di alienazione. Vedo un corpo rassegnato e privato dell'anima. Bravo! Link to comment
