Polo Fans in Skardu (best seen larger)

The Northern Areas of Pakistan are famous for their free style polo

games. An astonishing mix of ethnies come together to watch the

matches and to meet. There are Balties, Kohistanies, Pashtuns,

Afghanies, Central Asians, Arians, Kashmiries and is there not a

descendent of Alexander the Great there with the blue eyes? But

where are the women?

I say the content selected is really good. Wonderful picture. Nice shot which does justice in representing the number of people at this place. I wouldnt call this an artistic photo but a wonderful journalistic photograph. Well done !

Karl, I would have gone lower on the ground and shot such to cut all the sky away from the picture: in this way you could give the "human sea" illusion.

 

This apart, that's another very interesting panorama of yours... most of all, it is interesting how few of them are actually looking at you!

a great capture of such multitude of emotions that it is hard to believe they are watching the same thing.
