parvindabas 0 Posted January 26, 2006 thx for commenting jaap, yes,it is slightly soft, but i uploaded it more for it's compositional values, use of space and the 'character' of the fish, rather than anything else. Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted February 4, 2006 You know I have been more fixated on your recent portraiture work that I decided it was time to take a more complete look at the collection. This one captured my attention - the colours of the fish coursing through the kaala paani. The fish being slightly blurred doesn't bother me given the context. Link to comment
parvindabas 0 Posted February 4, 2006 amar,i don't know how many people realise how tough underwater photography actually is.not only do ur photography skills have to be top notch because u only have that one hr underwater and can't change rolls while ur there(i haven't gone digital yet),but u have to have good scuba skills to remain steady in the water.the camera i use underwater right now is also a fixed focal length camera so all my close ups were actually taken a couple of inches from the subject.so u can understand how i feel whenever someone praises my underwater pix.thx. atkphotoworks 0 Posted February 4, 2006 I could only imagine how difficult it must be to shoot these. I imagine lighting and focus can pose interesting challenges. I certainly hope that we may see more of these from you. By the way, have you had an opportunity to visit Johannes Felten's underwater work, he's a on PN and a great photog. Link to comment
fotoguy1 0 Posted February 6, 2006 I think it's amazing that you were able to capture this fish at all. Well done! Link to comment
