My B&W Tomatoes were on a black background, the stark white tones compliment the reds very very well!

Part of a day of shooting fruits and veggies. Shot on a light table with a white reflector

pointing down. Really helps with those shadows. Part of calendar shoot. Comments welcome.

Thanks, Ian. I remember that matt finish when I was shooting. I had the tomatoes in the fridge before the shoot. When I put them on the light table, the heat caused them to get a coating of fine moisture, almost like it had been sprayed with a fine mist. It cut down the shine. I remember almost wiping them off because my fingers kept leaving a mark. It was then I realized the effect it was having on the light bouncing off. In addition, the light coming down from the top is bounced off a white card. The only light source here is the light from the bottom. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
