eric_pederson 0 Posted October 22, 2001 A lovely contemplative photo. I would like to see the original as poloroid transfers often have a lovely shimmer to them which the scan can't show. Very nice composition and lighting. Can you explain the technique a bit more though? You made a poloroid transfer from an HP5 negative? There must have been a few more steps than that for these colorations. Link to comment
mj_gilmartin 0 Posted October 23, 2001 You ended up with a very good result. An image that I could look at over and over. Link to comment
jmacneil 0 Posted October 24, 2001 the lone tree in a field with an clouded sky. ahhh, an image i never get tired of no matter how many i see. Link to comment
brad_farwell 0 Posted November 6, 2001 very stark, powerful image. A little cheesy, but still, powerful eye-grabber. Link to comment
john rabkin 0 Posted November 13, 2001 I do not have a limited amount of 10 / 10 rateings that I can give. I am not saveing them for "that special image". If this is not excellence in the practice of photography than I do not know what is. High praise, but its a very effective shot. The only reason some people do not give 10 / 10 to an image it seams is that its not theirs. Link to comment
jasonphoto01 0 Posted November 15, 2001 agreed with comment from above. if you take a great shot you deserve praise!!! Link to comment

straycat 0 Posted January 27, 2002 Your work is among the best I've seen on this site. Wonderful imagery that communicates feelings - and I suppose this is what art is meant to do. It's also good to see the uniqueness of some "older" techniques such as this Polaroid transfer. Link to comment
tonys 0 Posted February 2, 2002 I don't understand the technical steps you took to get this beautiful photograph, but the result is very impressive. Thank you for sharing. Link to comment
sarasotalizz 0 Posted February 10, 2002 Very beautiful image. I find myself saying more and more these days, "I'd love to have something like that on my wall!" There's a large pool of talented artists on this site and you are most definitely one of them! I'd love to have something like that on my wall. =) Link to comment

ihistand 0 Posted July 13, 2002 Rene, I am very impressed by your images, the use of contrast and especially the feeling of depth you give to images using various sky patterns is wonderful. I've attempted to do portraits using a similar style, but have not had nearly the success you have. Congratulations! Link to comment

andrew_manrique1 0 Posted January 12, 2005 Very well done. I thought it a little ironic that this photo is titled lonely tree, when it seems to be a different perspective on the long line of trees you also have a photograph of. I see one, but there are many. No? Link to comment
