This could be a far mor interesting shot with some post production (i.e. dodging, burning, playing with levels, etc.), perhaps even some cropping. Apply the rule of thirds.

David has only one rule, "damn the post-post production, full speed ahead." And not so strangely, it seems to work. f/64

Lukia, I must say I find your comment more than a little strange. I think every photograph could be better with some post production. I actually like this the way it is. I submitted it for critique to find out its appeal to others as is. As for the rule of thirds... Why?

Jim, You are not wrong. I appreciate your continued support.

what? our ecoterrorists havent hit your news pages? How are you liking the 5D (or has someone already asked that?)

I dont really get this one but I like the boots.

The model liked the boots. I like her boots. You like her boots too. Thanks for the honesty.

The 5D is rather good. Anything specific you want to know about it?

Needless to say, I like the tight top-to-bottom crop. I'm awfully leery of "rules," especially the Rule of Thirds, and really don't see how it would be applicable to this shot, anyway.

My only suggestion for "improvement" would have been to lose the bra.

I won't pretend I understand your rationale for this shot, other than maybe just having fun with colors and a pretty girl. Hmmm...now that I think about it, that's rationale enough, isn't it?

Jim, Thanks a lot. You answered part of your posting yourself. Just having fun. I actually like this shot too and other than the fun aspect of it, I have no idea why.

As for losing the bra.... Who can argue with that? Maybe you should take a look here.
