javedrassi 3 Posted January 24, 2006 Very good contrast and tone, nice work converting to B&W. What technique are you using to convert color into B&W? Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted January 24, 2006 I convert to greyscale, add a dodge layer and adjust, add a warm light layer and adjust, and then use curves to adjust the blacks. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted January 24, 2006 Howard, I like this image very much for it's Japanese touch and play of light and shade. Your choice of tone is admirable. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 25, 2006 Those curvy bits are making this a great success in b&w. Nice lines and lighting. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted January 30, 2006 Howard, nice composition and lighting. I think that the highlight detail can be retained if you were to convert to B&W by converting each R,G, and B channel separately and blend them in together, layer by layer as you see fit. Just a different route. Still, this is very pleasing. ^_^ Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Sorry I missed this one when you first posted it. I like it a lot ... the B&W works well, as do the lines created by the shoots of the plant. Nice work, Howard! Link to comment
